Pusterwald lies in the heart of the Niederen Tauern area and is surrounded by 15 mountains, which are over 2000m high. The area starts at 951m above sea level and its highest summit, is the Hohenwart, at 2,363 m. The village itself lies at 1,072 m.Pusterwald is an idyllic farming village with well run inns and a shop. Along the valley are imposing farms, which are responsible for sustainable maintenance and cultivation of the land and breeding healthy cattle. The countryside offers holidaymakers both a pure mountain climate and many attractive excursion destinations, one of which is gold-panning.

The new gold-panning facility has been in operation since 2011. As well as gold-panning, you can also have a snack or a drink in our new hut. There is also a play area and a newly built waterwheel for children.
Mountain region Pusterwald
The forests, alpine meadows and mountain regions offer peaceful opportunities for wonderful hiking and ski touring. Wedel your way down the slopes of the ski resort in Pustertaland spend a few unhurried hours in the snow, away from the tourism. Pusterwald-leisure:
